Outreach Branch

The women of TBC are being stretched this year to reach out and expand our borders.  We can do this in our daily lives inviting friends, neighbors, coworkers and family members to fun events where they can hear the Good News of Christ in a non-threatening and entertaining environment.

Summer Evangelistic Event

This summer is all about reaching out with variety!  It will be a great
opportunity for you, the women of TBC, to invite friends, neighbors and
co-workers to our exciting outreach events.  Mark you calendars for the
following outreach opportunities:

Outdoor Movie Night on the CAB Lawn - June 20, 2008

Pack up your blankets, lawn chairs, and bug spray for this fun, family
outreach event!!  We will enjoy an evening on the lawn of the CAB
courtyard with popcorn and a movie!  We hope you’ll invite other
families to this night of fun!  More details coming soon!

Scrapbooking Extravaganza – July 12, 2008

Are you an avid scrapper?  Have you always wanted to start a scrapbook,
but needed help and direction?  Do you know someone who would love this
event and have the opportunity to hear the saving message of Jesus
Christ?  This is the event for you!  This is the ultimate scrapbooking
extravaganza!  We will have something for everyone, no matter how
serious you are with this “sport!”    Join us for fun activities, ideas
and demos, door prizes, games and vendors at 8:30 AM at TBC.  Snacks
and lunch will be provided.  Registration will begin on June 8th for
this event.  There are 2 different costs, depending on your needs.  If
you need no materials, this event will be $5 for you.  If you want us
to provide you with the beginner basics of starting a scrapbook, the
cost is $15.  Please be prepared to pay at registration.  We would also
like to know if you would be interested in being a vendor!

Homemaking 101 – Monday, July 28th

Reach out and invite friends to this fun event at TBC!  We will have
many homemaking stations you can visit to learn some “nuts and bolts”
on cleaning, organizing, cooking, and many more.  It’s going to be an
event that encourages better ways to run your household and tips you
don’t want to miss!  Join us at TBC on Monday, July 28th at 6:30 PM.

Community Outreach

An exciting new ministry is beginning at TBC that we pray God will use to greatly impact our local community.  The CAB Care Closet (CCC) is taking gently used clothing, making it available, free of charge to those in need.  The CCC will be open the first Saturday of each month.  We are excited to share the love of Christ to our neighbors!  

If you would like to donate items to the CAB Care Closet, leave your clothing at the north entrance of the CAB building on the designated rack.  In addition, there are other ways to serve this outreach ministry.  Contact Jan Durbin for more information at 478-3698.
