Grace Branch

Women's ministry has begun a new branch-"Grace".   Webster tells us that "grace" a noun, means "unmerited divine assistance".  The Bible tells us that grace is also a verb and 2 Corinthians 8:7 tells us how it is worked out; "But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us--see that you also excel in this grace of giving."

As Christians, we not only need to acknowledge, receive, and thank God for His grace in our lives, but we also need to demonstrate grace to those around us.  The Grace Branch provides many opportunities for you to act out this grace. Below are some ways for you to serve not only the Lord, but your fellow sisters in Christ.

Coffee and Donuts

Making coffee or picking up and serving donuts on Sunday mornings is a practical and appreciated way to serve fellow TBCers.

Guest Housing

We, on occasion, need willing families to open their homes to ministry guests such as from a singing group or a missionary.

Christmas Decorations

Every November, we need a lot of help putting up and taking down beautiful Christmas decorations around church.

Funeral Meals

What a blessing to be ministered to in your time of grief by these wonderful teams.  Providing a side dish or helping serve a funeral meal is a very tangible way to extend grace!

Special Gatherings

Help provide some special treats for a church event!  YUM!

Along with the service part of the Grace Branch, there are some awesome fellowship opportunities.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS is a ministry to nurture Mothers of Preschoolers.  This includes children 0-5.  A typical MOPS meeting is broken down like this:

  • Drop off the kiddos for MOPPETS (Bible based stories, music, crafts, recreation, and of course snacks)
  • Then come down to the Fellowship Hall where you will enter the "Mom Zone", no children, just friendly faces and the welcoming aroma of coffee and breakfast made just for you!
  • Take a deep breath and listen to a great guest speaker, or have an incredible time of creative activity.
  • Then get your relational fix as you connect with other mom's in a small group setting.
  • Finally, pick up your kiddos refreshed, and ready for the day.

ERC Showhouse

Each spring we have a special evening out to tour the ERC Designer's Showhouse. As a group, we enjoy a delightful dinner before touring the house.  This is a great night out with the girls.
