Patty Diliberto
Women's Ministry Director
Patty was born in Cape Girardeau, Mo. but when she was 3 months old her family moved to Arvada, Colorado where she grew up. As a family, they spent a great deal of time in the mountains boating, jeeping, dirt biking, skiing (water and snow) and just enjoying the beautiful Rockies God created. When she was 16, she came to believe and accept that God loved her and wanted her for His very own; appropriately that took place in the mountains!
Patty graduated from Florida Bible College in 1978 and married her wonderful husband Nat three months later. They moved to Topeka in 1980 and have been at Topeka Bible Church ever since. They have four grown children, two of whom are married.
Patty has a passion to help women find hope and healing in their relationship with Christ. She loves the variety that her position affords me in overseeing a vibrant Women's Ministry, in counseling, discipling and teaching the women of TBC.
For relaxation, she likes to cook, bake, entertain and read. Below is one of their favorite dessert recipes. Try it, you'll like it!
BERRIES IN A CLOUD
6 egg whites
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 - 3 oz. Cream cheese
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 c. Mini marshmallows
1/2 tsp. Cream of tartar
1 3/4 c. Sugar
1 c. Powdered sugar
1 pint whipping cream
Heat oven to 275 grease 9x13 pan.
Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt till frothy then gradually beat in 1 3/4 c. sugar, beat on high speed till stiff. Spread in pan and bake 60 minutes then turn oven off and leave in for 12 hours.
Whip the whipping cream till stiff. Mix cream cheese, 1 c. Powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold whipping cream and cream cheese mixture with the marshmallows and spread over the meringue. Refrigerate for 12 hours. Cut in squares and top with strawberries and raspberries.
